| Here
they are the Props of 2006...
Some old faces and some really cool
new ones. All the new masks used this year are from Dark
Side Studios. Some have been modified to suit the look
of the prop being designed.

This was the
Librarian prop from the past few years. The large book has
been removed and the hands replaced with a new custom pair
created from GS prop hands. I angle cut the fingers at the
knuckles and re-attached them using wire inserted into the
foam and hot glue. Gives a really nice crippled up look.

This is a new motorized prop. A gear motor
inside the pot stirs the paddle. I built a fog machine into
the body of the prop which pumps out timed bursts to fill
the pot. Also for a little added detail I installed a small
silk flame unit underneath and concealed it with real firewood
logs.

This cutie is very cool. She is based on
the Twitch prop I built last season. It uses twin pistons
to move her head forward and up in one fast motion. Very creepy
even in daylight.

This new toe pincher coffin and corpse was
built for an actor effect in the last room outside.

Two metal stanchions with GS Open Jaw corpsed
skulls for the area in front of the new coffin shown above.

This was the crank corpse from last season
that hung off the side of the house. I added a lower torso
so it could be placed above the main gate behind the Dark
Works sign.

The new No Smoking Prop. This was built
from a corpsed oversized foam skeleton that a good friend
of mine bought several years back. I had been saving it till
I could fine the perfect use for it. The head is a latex mask
created by Matt Eames which I corpsed and added Sculpty teeth.
Under the bench is a fogger that is ducted out to his treach
tube, nostrils and the Sculpty cigarette. Smoke em' if you
got em'!

A few limited pictures of our new Scarecrow
corpse prop. He's pretty big so I didn't get many shots of
him in the shop. I built him in three sections, arms and body
for easy storage. It's a very light weight durable prop built
from ABS, PVC, foam and latex.

This was a brand new toilet till I got a
hold of it. I foamed it up a bit to give it an over flowing
look. Air is pumped into the bottom of the bowl to create
bubbles in the water. Airbrush work on this crapper makes
it a piece of art. Gotta love that mold!

This is a new pneumatic prop that is used
with the new toilet prop. He's the janitor of Dark Works.

I saved the best for last. The new piece
for the side of the house is our new static Vampire corpse.
It sports a 10 foot wing span and is 8 foot from head to talon.
Another very light weight prop built in three sections for
storage. The wings are semi transparent which allows back
light to show off the airbrushed veins.

Those are the major props. There are many
more pictures of them on the Dark Works 2006 page.
