| The
Props of 2003...

This is the new sign for Dark Works
which will hang off the front of the new haunt! It measures
4' wide x 6' high and built of 3/4" plywood. There are
3 layers (white background, dry brushed top and the letters).
The sign is back lit which makes the entire outline glow.
More pictures to come on the Dark Works 2003 page.

These are the Demon Twins. Two pneumatic props that have multi
movement features. Each prop is a short range 4-bar lift with
added 4-bar arm lifts. The idea of moving arms was inspired
by the Simple Pop-Up on the Vile
Things site.

I re-worked two of last seasons pneumatics
into this new prop. It's a compact lifting prop that raises
the body up and slightly over it's victim's head. I try to
keep the pneumatic movement of all the props limited so that
they can be used in close quarters.

Not much different with the floor fountain
other than a new paint job. It was coated with UGL Drylok
and sprayed with watered down black paint.

This is one of the holders first used
to hold a commercial silk flame unit. The upper box was cut
down to create a candle holder. Each one holds 5 pvc pipe
electric candles set in foam.

I bought this antique chair for $10
bucks off a friend. My 4 year old son airbrushed it red. You
might reconize the face of this prop from past years. It has
once again been re-worked into another pheumatic prop for
2003. When triggered the hands push the rat out toward you
and the head looks up.

Some new duds for the Jerker Prop and
the Monk!

This pneumatic is mounted high. When
triggered it leans forward at the hip while the arms freely
swing forward and back. Simple but very cool...

This short guy measuring in at 4' high
serves two purposes. He shows the exit direction and blows
you a nice cold kiss as you walk past. Air is blown out through
a hose in the mouth.

Here's our new House Rules sign with
added corpse and hanging light fixture.

The Beast prop looks like a static
prop but when triggered his head rears up at it's surprised
victim. Built in the same manner as our Gargoyle props with
added wood skeleton and pneumatics.

Ozzy has been totally changed for
this year. This prop swings around into a doorway from the
side then resets. Note the doorway has not been added at the
time of this picture.

This new prop works much like the
Monk prop starting off in a sitting position and raising straight
up to 6' tall.

This pneumatic prop is only about
5' tall. When triggered the arms swing up toward the waiting
guests.
