Welcome to Dark Works 2002...

This years haunt was built under a new 12 x 40 canopy. We came up with a maze design that incorporates two pneumatic doors which allowed us to run guest down and back through the same way they just came. This almost doubled our square footage. Two main lighting circuits where wired into the haunt to allow a lighting design going down and one coming back. When guests got to the back end of the maze the lighting was changed. This gave the maze a different look coming back and also helped hide props already seen going down. The doors, which look like sections of wall, where triggered to change hallways and allow the guests to double back without knowing they just went through a door. A single actor was placed inside who worked the entire maze and kept people moving forward. The only downfall of this design was the fact that only one group at a time could be inside the haunt. The line at times was an hour long and wrapped around the post lamps and out the main gate.

Many of the following photos where shot at night and best viewed in a darkened room.

Turn off all room lights etc. and experience the ever changing world of the Terror Syndicate!

I will keep this short because a picture is worth a thousand words! And there are a lot of pictures!

Two new 9 foot high lighted fog towers where created for the sides of the new main gate. A timed fog burst would dim and extinguish the light from the 100w flood bulbs inside each base. This creates a fantastic look from the top of the towers as if the "fires" inside went out and began to smolder then restart again.
